18th July 2008 New HSE guidelines for First Aid At Work Do I really need a refresher? The HSE are recommending that people who have undertaken the First Aid At Work course and the new Emergency First Aid at Work (coming in September 09) complete a one day refresher training course to maintain their knowledge... I don't really need a refresher... If you feel that you do not need to adhere to the HSE recommendations then consider this.... You are the First Aider on duty and are now coming up to the expiry of your certificate. You have completed no refresher training whatsoever in the time you are qualified and you encounter your first incident. The treatment that you deliver did not follow protocol and as a result the person you treated has passed away. You are now giving evidence in court and the prosecuting lawyer asks why you did not follow the HSE recommendations and had you done so, their clients husband/wife may still be alive.... A horrible scenario I know - but that is what the recommendation is there for. Don't get left behind with your knowledge.. MG Training UK Ltd is set up and ready to go as soon as the new guidelines are officially produced. But why wait until September 2009. If it has been a while since you did your last first aid course and you can't quite remember what order everything goes in - book in for a 6 hour refresher. 16th December 2006 Customer Policies Customer Service Policies for MG Training UK Ltd MG Training UK Ltd Customer Policies About Us MG Training UK Ltd is a training company that specialises in Health, Safety and Fitness Courses mainly for the leisure industry. Service and Price List All Services are listed on the company website at www.mgtraining.org.uk . A number of courses/goods will include a price, however, some course costs will vary depending on whether the course is for a group, an individual and in different parts of the country. Delivery Policy If and when we provide goods, we will do so as a proxy provider and the delivery of an item will be the responsibility of the company shipping the goods. Cancellation Policy All customers have the right to cancel a course but due to the nature of the business, trainers would have allocated time to teach these courses and may lose out on another booking if they are already committed to a course as such the cancellation of a course is as follows: The cancellation policy is as follows: 7 Days +: 100% Refund 3-7 Days: 50% Refund 3 Days and under: No Refund Refund Policy If any customer is unhappy with a course or the outcome of a course then MG Training will follow the appeals procedure laid down by the awarding body for that particular course. If the appeal is upheld then a full refund will be offered. Privacy Policy MG Training UK Ltd do not and will not keep records of customers personal financial data. We do keep manual records of registers for courses that people have attended and these are kept securely at the business premises. We do not share any of our customers data with any other organization. Customers who have been on our training courses can request the data that we have on them by contacting the Director – Mike Grice (contact details on main website) We do not intend to collate any financial data over the internet via an online shop. The only time we will take financial details is over the phone or via email and the information is destroyed as soon as it has been used.
